A small group of slakes that landed on the window. This is a rather lucky shot, as all the flakes are intact. The middle flake is the most intricate of the three, but the bottom one is a 12 pointed flake. In order for a 12 pointed flake to occur, two flakes must form very close to each other in the atmosphere (creating the similar shapes) and collide and stick together while falling to earth. These conditions make 12 pointed flakes fairly rare  Please tell me what you think!  |
