My name is Evan and I am 16 years old. I started photography in May of 2007 and joined deviantART shortly after. I hope to improve my photography skills and to one day be shooting professionally as a career!

Hey everyone!

This past week, I purchased a new tripod. Huzzah! Now I can do panoramas like a professional. I also recently discovered how to use AEB (auto exposure bracketing) which will make HDR much easier. The combination of AEB, my new tripod, and ND grad filter should prove for some great landscapes in Colorado. Until then, I'll have to practice with more urban landscapes ;)

An epic tree with an epic sunset.

We often miss the small things in life as we rush through the day doing whatever we need to do to survive in this hectic world.
All of your pictures are amazing. o_o Keep it up.
i have the same camera as you, can you tell me a little more about the AEB? i just got it
Yeah!
Auto Exposure Bracketing is really great because it allows you to do HDR shots faster (it'll take the 3 shots for you once you press the shutter). Just hit "menu" scroll right to the second menu tab, and hit "set" when the AEB part is highlighted. Now scroll to the right to set the exposure level that separates the shots (I always take it to -2, 0, and +2).
Hope that helps :)

thanks, ill definitely try a few that way. i usually end up cheating and alter the exposure values in ps through curves or something. it usually works for subtle changes but it has its downfalls
